EyeSpaceMD is a multi-dimensional, web-based ophthalmic education portal developed by the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery in conjunction with (partner societies). EyeSpaceMD offers educational content derived from ophthalmic meetings along with ancillary information and opinion in the form of on-line discussion groups, archives, videos, images, articles, news reporting, podcasting, and industry-supported information.

EyeSpaceMD was designed to foster the “social media” concept – the realization that collaborative interaction between individuals having similar interests is the most effective and efficient means of collecting, organizing, and disseminating information. EyeSpaceMD offers users the opportunity to create and share ophthalmic information in significant new ways.
